Fredrik Forslund

As director of the International Data Sanitization Consortium, Fredrik oversees the direction and vision of the organization. Drawing from a multi-national team of leaders in the fields of enterprise data security, IT asset disposition, advisory services and global regulations, Fred guides the IDSC in providing clarity on and setting standards for secure data sanitization best practices that can meet the stringent data privacy, security, and compliance needs of organizations worldwide.

He also currently serves as Vice President and General Manager of International Sales for Blancco, a division of Blancco Technology Group. Fredrik brings over 20 years of experience in IT security. This includes most recently leading Blancco's data center and cloud erasure initiatives and before that, founding SafeIT, a security software company focusing on encryption and selective data erasure. His experience also includes serving as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company.

Widely traveled, Fredrick has lived and worked in the U.S., South East Asia, South America and Europe and is often found speaking at data security and data protection industry conferences across the world.
